Step-by-Step Process

File the 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after October 1, 2016. When completing the FAFSA, Shiloh University Financial Aid Office recommends that you use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to transfer your tax information directly from the IRS onto your FAFSA. Receive student aid report (SAR) from federal processor.

Receive award notification.

Accept and return award notification. (First-time borrowers must also complete and submit promissory notes and entrance loan counseling.)

Receiving financial aid funds. (See disbursement and payments for more information.)

If you were selected by the U.S. Department of Education to complete federal verification, this must be done before you can accept the University’s award notification.
